The city of Dubai has a world-record 7-star hotel called The Burj Al Arab, as well as the largest mall in the world, The Dubai Mall, and the world’s tallest building, The Burj Khalifa. Additionally, Candylicious is the largest sweet shop in the world and is located in the city.
In Dubai, hotels and resorts compete to be the most luxurious, family-friendly, and feature every imaginable amenity. Guests are offered gold ipads to use during their stay; they have free admission to the resort’s waterparks; and some underwater suites are available. While guests may feel like royalty when staying in these luxury accommodations, the high cost of these services can prove problematic.
There are numerous budget friendly hotels in Dubai. Some are located in the older part of the city, where amenities will include clean beds and courteous staff. In other words, these hotels won’t necessarily be on the beach or on the expensive Palm Island area. However, they will be close to a beach and near Palm Island— which may cost more than $20,000 per night at one of the Burj Al Arab’s Royal Suites.

There are two, three and four bedroom Rose Garden Hotel Apartments in Al Barsha. Units come equipped with a kitchen and Wi-Fi; they have a shared pool, gym and kitchen.
Just 5 minutes away from Jumeirah Beach is the 4-star Mercure Gold Hotel Al Mina Road. It’s located in the city, and includes a spa, swimming pool, gym and Wi-Fi for a fee.
Ibis Deira City Centre Hotel is in the center of the city, close to the historic old district. All rooms have internet access and Wi-Fi in the lobby.
